Work Placements
We understand that starting a career is a big decision. That’s why we offer work experience opportunities to high school students who are considering a career in Children’s Services.
Our programs are designed to give you practical experience and a taste of what it’s like to work in the sector – all under the guidance of supportive Ambrose mentors.
Work placement is available to students attending Catholic and non-Catholic high schools.
School-Based Traineeships
This is an exciting, innovative pathway for Year 11 and 12 students to kick-start their career in Children’s Services. Students can apply to undertake a school-based traineeship, studying a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care whilst attending school. As part of the traineeship, the student also works part time at an Ambrose service which provides practical experience, the support of mentors and an income.
If you are a student with a passion for Children’s Services – then this is a great way to start!
Work-Based Traineeships
At Ambrose our educators have the opportunity to apply for a work-based traineeship. This is a great way to upskill or gain formal qualifications whilst working at Ambrose and earning an income.
We offer Certificate III and Diploma qualifications and have opportunities in both Early Learning Services and School Age Care.
